Performance
Propelling the latest model year of the RAV4 Hybrid is a fine-tuned 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that works with dual electric motors to provide 219 horsepower. This brawny engine pairs with a continuously variable transmission and features standard all-wheel drive. That's', all version of the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid come standard with all-wheel drive. The RAV4 Hybrid also features impressive fuel economy, offering up a fuel economy of 38/40 city/highway miles per gallon.
Technology
Even the base LE trim of the RAV4 Hybrid comes equipped with an ample set of tech features to help drivers stay connected and entertained. The LE includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, and a basic audio system. While certainly impressive, the standard set of features might not be for everyone. Upper trim levels can remedy the situation, with the XSE RAV4 Hybrid adding in an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display and a 7-inch instrument display screen. The top of the line RAV4 Limited trim boasts an 11-speaker JBL audio system that features Audi Plus.
Interior & Exterior Features
Interior features vary by trim, with the base LE RAV4 Hybrid covering all the modern essentials. The LE trim includes dual-zone automatic climate control, cloth-trimmed seats, and a spacious rear cargo storage area. The XLE trim steps things up by adding in an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat and push-button start. The Premium trim gets unique dark brawn cabin accents.
Exterior features are mostly limited to aesthetic additions, with drivers being able select various paint color options. Drivers can enjoy 18-inch wheels, exterior tweaks to upper trim levels (XLE and above), and various two-tone color scheme options.
Safety
The RAV4 Hybrid covers safety essentials by equipping all trims with a standard set of driver assistance features. All trims come outfitted with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite, which includes forward collision alert, lane departure warning, emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. Available as an additional upgrade is blind-spot monitoring, which can help alert drivers when a vehicle is passing in their blind-spot. The new RAV4 Hybrid also offers up all the classic safety features, too. Classic safety features include things like airbags and seat belts for all seating positions.
