Since the very first version of the Supra in 1978, Toyota has slowly but surely adapted the Supra to meet modern needs. From increasing engine power to changing exterior styling, the Supra has remained on the cutting edge of vehicle capability. The tradition continues with the 2021 Toyota GR Supra.
Performance
The Toyota Supra makes it easy to distinguish which engines come with each trim; the trim level has the engine in its name. The 2.0 trim, for instance features a 2.0-liter twin-scroll single-turbo inline-4 engine. The 3.0, 3.0 Premium, and A91 Edition trim levels include 3.0-liter inline-6 engine. The 2.0-liter inline-4 engine includes a 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. If you're looking for a bit more power behind the wheel of the Toyota Supra, then drivers look forward to 3.0-liter inline-6 engine that manages 382 horsepower and 363 pound-feet of torque. All trim levels include an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Some of the upper trims include some higher-end performance features, too! The 3.0 trim adds in an active rear sport differential chassis brakes, an adaptive variable sport suspension, and Brembo 4-poston fixed-caliper disc brakes. The A91 Edition trim features red-painted calipers that come emblazoned with silver TOYOTA Supra logos.
Technology
Tech features available with the Toyota Supra are impressive regardless of which trim you select. The base 2.0 trim features an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, a four-speaker audio system, Bluetooth functionality, and SiriusXM Satellite Radio. Drivers that are thinking of opting for the 3.0 trim can look forward to an even larger set of tech features, including a 10-speaker HiFi sound system, and Toyota Supra Connect functionality. The 3.0 Premium trim includes Qi-compatible wireless charging, navigation functionality, and touchpad control. The top-level A91 Edition trim includes a 12-speaker JBL HiFi surround sound system, Qi-compatible wireless charging, and an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display
Interior Features
As far as interior comfort features go, the Supra features ample near-luxury options. The base 2.0 trim features black Alcantara leather-trimmed sport seats, carbon fiber interior trim, sport seats (with four-way lumbar adjustment), paddle shifters, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. That's just the base trim level! Moving to the 3.0 trim allows drivers to enjoy 14-way sport seats with driver's seat memory (and large knee-support cushions). The 3.0 Premium trim steps things up by adding black Alcantara leather-trimmed sport seats while the A91 Edition trim touts black/blue Alcantara leather-trimmed sport seats with blue stitching. Beyond the change to seating trim, the A91 Edition includes the same interior features as the 3.0 Premium.
Exterior Features
Moving to the exterior of the vehicle, the new Toyota Supra offers drivers a mix of aesthetic and functional exterior equipment. The 2.0 trim level includes glossy-black auto-folding/ heated outside mirrors; a built-in rear spoiler, aerodynamic underbody panel, and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The 2.0 trim also includes dual rear exhaust outlets with polished stainless-steel exhaust tips. Drivers looking to increase exterior style or functionality can look to a variety of available exterior upgrades. From various wheel and tire options to dual rear exhaust outlets with brushed stainless-steel exhaust tips, exterior features abound! Regardless of trim level, drivers can look forward to standard exterior features like LED front turn signal indicators, LED taillights, an LED backup light, auto-tilting passenger-side outside mirror, a rear spoiler, auto-dimming driver's side mirror, and aerodynamic underbody panel.
