The latest model year of the Toyota 4Runner makes some major changes to the previous model year. Highlights include new limited edition trim levels, new standard features, and a variety of other tweaks to the rugged and versatile SUV. The new Trail Edition is now available, however, it's limited to just 4,000 units, so get it before it's gone! Otherwise, the changes are pretty run of the mill, with all trims getting LED low beams and higher trims getting LED high beams. The Toyota 4Runner is, for the most part, the same reliably rugged 5-7 passenger SUV that drivers know and love.

What's new to the 2021 Toyota 4Runner

  • New Trail Edition trim
  • TRD Pro trim gets new wheels and a freshly tuned suspension
  • LED high beams now standard in top trim levels
  • LED low beams no standard with all trim levels

Trail Edition - New to the 2021 Toyota 4Runner

The Trail Special Edition is an adventure-ready iteration of the 4Runner that adds in a host of nifty exterior and interior features to make off-roading and weekend-warrior-ing even easier. The Toyota 4Runner Trail Special Edition adds a Yakima Loadwarrior cargo basket, a 40-qt. cargo area with an accessory cooler and tie-down straps, a sliding rear cargo deck with under-floor storage, and all-weather floor lines. Of course, it also includes all the standard features that come with the 4Runner SR5, which include Toyota Safety Sense P, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a power rear liftgate window, and seating for up to five passengers.
