So what's the verdict? The 2012 Toyota RAV4 EV is priced fully equipped at $49,800. It's powered by a battery pack mounted under the center of the vehicle to give it a smoother and more stable ride. Unfortunately, however, it will be some time before the Toyota RAV4 EV is available at new Toyota dealerships across the country. For the first three years of production, Toyota plans to limit its sales to four markets within California.
